"Somebody's Storm"
She couldn't feel herself any more
looking in the mirror to see if she still existed
sad eyes that knew no one could ever see
Her strong bones holding together the levees that want to break
but won't
wanting to unleash the fury of her tears
but holding strong cause no one else has
her eyes don't want to let her down
she's a perfect disaster
She is Katrina
a girl who everyone thinks has everything..and she does
but she doesn't want it.
Fema can't help her
nothing can scare her..cause what's fear when all your nightmares have come true
She left the bathroom
Her only evacuation route
he was still in her bed..the man who belonged there just like children in coffins
He didn't
she wanted to take her Katrina rage and thrash him
drown him with her blood..because her tears are too valuable
She looked at the necklace he gave her
"Daddy's little girl"
Choking her like the slave she felt she was
Her mother, the mistress
guilty cause she wants to know why her husband doesn't want her anymore
guilty cause she's jealous of the storm that is Katrina
guilty..cause when she beats her..she's killing her slowly
innocent until proven guilty..Katrina never had a chance
wishing for her daughter's death sentence..so her husband will cum to bed
he never came..but everytime he did..she went
and gave her daughter another reason to die
as if she was an offender..for letting her dad offendher
Katrina lost a part of her every night
whether it be her spirit or her innocence
she was lost..not on a milk carton..but maybe in her eyes
Real Eyes realize real lies
somebody could find her..but to no one
the child is lost
retreated, mistreated..defeated
teachers never wondered about their star
Supernova is she
shining so bright..but dying simultaneously
she hides behind her tough skin
and bright colored disposition
perfect opposite of everything inside but..
everything is perfect
picture perfect even
falling deeper everyday..but nobody catches her
Hell comes everynight..so what do you fear when your nightmare is real
Her Dad, Her Mom, Her Home..Her
Katrina
finally broke
